This interactive one-hour workshop will equip chemistry education researchers with methodological tools to better understand the learning needs of students from diverse contexts. Through guided discussions and collaborative problem-solving, participants will critically examine their current research approaches and explore strategies to make STEM access research more inclusive and context-responsive. The session will emphasize qualitative and mixed-methods techniques, including interviews, focus groups, and culturally relevant surveys, to capture the experiences of underrepresented learners. By the end of the workshop, attendees will leave with practical strategies for refining their methodologies to better address equity and inclusion in chemistry education research.
